Checkout these renderings for Sports Authority's new brand concept. The goal was to adjust the user experience in the main entrance lobby. When the task was presented one of the major concerns faced was the lack of personality the space contained. Originally the entrance only contained a front desk, and two couches seating around 4-6 people. At some points during the day there was up to 15 vendors present for one meeting, and no place to unwind after a long trip. An update was much needed. This is a focal point for the brand and sporting goods to come together, so that's what was created. A place to relax and unwind before a big meeting. That place is called The Lounge. It combined the atmosphere of a sports bar with the collaborative space of a coffee / juice bar. Brand was introduced into the space to say, "here's who we are, and here's what we stand for." It clearly communicated the message to people as they entered the lobby while also adding a higher visual value with updated materials and colors. – Overall the concept was embraced by all , and was expected to be implemented.

My degree is in branding, more specifically communications design. I love understanding how things work and creating solutions for possible problems. My passion is for creating memorable experiences.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Defiant Designs is a company specializing in Graphic Design services and more specifically branding. Our goal is to help you bring your vision to life. You might have an idea of what you're looking for or in some cases no direction at all. Thats where we step in and begin the process of creating a brand. What is a brand? – "A brand is a product, service, or concept that is publicly distinguished from other products, services, or concepts so that it can be easily communicated and usually marketed. A brand name is the name of the distinctive product, service, or concept. Branding is the process of creating and disseminating the brand name. Branding can be applied to the entire corporate identity as well as to individual product and service names."
WHERE DO WE START?
We start with researching the competition and possible styles. Next sketching and rough draft concepts take shape. From there we send a presentation with required collateral as Draft 1. Its reviewed then discussed, and the desired changes are made where Draft 2 is presented. At this point the Brand is in its Final Stages. Once approved, files and payment are exchanged.
WHATS THE OUTCOME?
The goal outcome is that we have established a unique brand that communicates the correct message and experience to your target audience. Sales, Products, Customer Experience, Individualism, and Usage are all improved. You now have imagery that sets your company apart that is also highly usable for a great price.

WHY BLACK AND WHITE
We believe getting straight to the point and using blunt methods supports the brand to shine. A black & white color palette allowed for the true beauty of the logo mark and logo type to be expressed. It's clean, sharp, and more importantly meaningful.
